As the foundation of Integrated Learning, the classroom experience has become more enriching, dynamic, and valuable for our students. Our traditional classroom delivery method—instructor lecture and demonstration, followed by student practice through hands-on exercise—has been enhanced to include Web-based resources during and after class.
Students train in an environment created specifically for adults. This business-oriented professional learning environment provides the ideal setting for students wishing to learn Application Skills, Business Skills for Professional Development, or Technical Skills.
Classroom learning provides an environment where the student learns by actually performing tasks in the area of learning their course covers. Students training on Microsoft Office will perform mail-merges and create spreadsheets. Those in a Cisco® class will be connecting to routers and managing TCP/IP traffic. Regardless of your training need, you will learn hands-on skills at New Horizons.
We have always provided post-class Help Desk support to our students, but now there are more benefits to taking Classroom Learning from New Horizons. Available through Online ANYTIME, students have an online companion course to the class they take in the center. That means they can retake their course anytime they want through simulated exercises to help reinforce learning.
Students receive a Learning Guide as a reference tool while in class. A full electronic version of the user manual—eCourseware—is also available for reference and use for a post-class period of six months. Updates to the content within an eCourseware manual are automatic, providing the student with access to the latest version of the material at all times.
As the Classroom Learning experience evolves to include Web-based resources, New Horizons continues to provide valuable learning tools that create the finest and most rewarding environment possible for our students.
